ALATEC is seeking a 13F Fire Support Specialist Trainer/Instructor to work in a challenging, professional environment committed to national security and soldier safety.
Instructors are required to provide performance oriented training using U.S. Army TRADOC approved program of instruction (POI) and in compliance with defined instructor to student ratios and equipment to student ratios. Training will include but is not limited to classroom, hands-on, simulation/virtual, field environment and exercises, combat scenario driven, and realistic and safe environment. Training requirements shall be for resident and non-resident training courses and in support of mobile training teams (MTTs). Conduct of instruction shall also be in support of specialized training requirements or the training of new systems. Individual instructors will participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages (TSP) to remedy any deficiencies or shortcomings identified during the preparation for and conduct of instruction.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the lesson plans for FA Mobile Training.
- Plan for unit training support.
- Conduct unit training.
- Able to train senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) to plan, assess, and evaluate Field Artillery training.
- Conduct Battery Operations Course 2E-F247/041-F15-Mobile Training Team (MTT). Provide unit assistance and teach, evaluate, and provide feedback in accordance with (IAW) TC 3-09.8.
- Conduct After Action Review and out-brief.
- Attend every three week Field Artillery Pre Command Course (PCC) as observer/facilitator.
- Project a positive Army and Fires CoE image, in appearance, attitude, and conduct.
- Wear appropriate attire, maintain a neat appearance, and present a courteous and professional attitude.
- Be able to travel as part of a Mobile Training Team to CONUS and OCONUS locations
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
- 11, or more, years related experience to include Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF) experience.
- Experience in gunnery.
- Knowledge of the various fire support digital platforms: Pocket-Sized Forward Entry Device (PFED), Ruggedized Handheld Computer (RHC), Stand-alone Computer Unit (SCU), and programs: Forward Observer System (FOS), AFATDS, JADOCS) with emphasis on the fire support functions.
- Working knowledge of the fire support platforms Bradley Fire Support Team (BFIST), KNIGHT, STRYKER Fire Support Variant (FSV).
- Knowledgeable on fire support planning functions and products from the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), the targeting process and products, development, Close Air Support (CAS), Counter Insurgency (COIN), CDE, A2C2, and employment and capabilities of weapon locating radars, and all fire support systems.
- Very well versed in the specifics of the MDMP process.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office products.
Education Required:
- ANCOC
- Certified by the Government as a qualified instructor.
- Operator certified for the Call for Fire Trainer (CFFT).
- High School Diploma
