If you're looking for an opportunity to help save lives every day, we invite you to join the American Red Cross Blood Services, in our Tulsa office as our Manufacturing Technician. In this position, you will use your manufacturing experience and organizational skills to process blood components. We are looking for mission driven, detail and team oriented people to join our team. This position is a day shift position, 7 AM - 4 PM, working six days on, four days off one week, and seven days on, 3 days off the next week. Paid training in blood manufacturing provided. Manufacture, store and distribute blood products/samples. Maintain manual and computer records associated with production or testing. Comply with safety policies and procedures in the work area and use applicable protective equipment at all times to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. Comply with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) if required. Responsibilities: 1. Manufacture, store and distribute blood products/samples. Meet the quality and quantity production and distribution goals established by the department. 2. Operate, maintain and perform quality control checks on equipment. Ensure adequate inventory of required supplies. 3. Perform data entry and operate the computer programs associated with component production, labeling,storage, and shipping. 4. Maintain accurate, legible and complete manufacturing department records. 5. Perform the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products/samples. 6. Ensure products are suitable for release for distribution and are managed appropriately. 7. Perform good inventory management practices throughout the manufacturing and shipping process. 8. May perform customer service or inventory management as requested. 9. May perform management of sample tubes. 10. May make customer deliveries. 11. Maintain accurate electronic and physical inventory locations for products. 12. Perform other related duties as required.
