Machinist-Aviation Job Description:

An aviation company in Tulsa is immediately seeking an experienced machinist with aviation experience. Our client is looking for a great team player. Responsibilities: Read and interpret blue prints, repair manuals, and overhaul manuals to plan setup and operation of all types of machining operation. Use full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before starting job. Perform repair, rebuild or overhaul on all types of aircraft parts and tooling. Start up and shut down equipment in line with company safety procedures and comply with OSHA requirements. Frequently work with other employees from other departments. Perform other duties as assigned by the repair crew chief. Other requirements: H.S. Diploma or GED, 5 years of skilled machinist on manual lathes, mills, jig borer, surface grinder, tool grinder,saws, drill press and vertical turret lathes. Must be able to grind your own tools. Technical school experience preferred. Aircraft experience is required. Must be able to lift 25 lbs and be able to work with a lot of noise, dust and fumes and other elements in the shop area. Pay is based on experience. Must be willing to submit to background check and drug test.
