As a result of our expanding business, we are seeking a Manager, Prior Authorizations to oversee the operations of a large team of Prior Authorizations Supervisors and Pharmacy Technicians in a customer-centric call center setting. Responsibilities

Coordinate, supervise and be accountable for the site operations as well as daily activities and performance of direct and indirect reports.

Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the team to ensure that quality, productivity, and regulatory/contractual goals and requirements are met.

Provide a positive work environment and achieve creativity and teamwork among employees.

Set team direction, resolve problems and provide guidance to the team. Ensure policies and procedures are appropriately followed. Identify and communicate improvement opportunities and reports to the department Director.

Participate and provide representation in inter-department meetings and workgroups with the Client Services and Clinical Services teams of Optum Rx to ensure Prior Authorization department issues and needs are addressed.

Participate in quality improvement and process enhancement projects as assigned by management

Skills / Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a large team of employees


• Minimum of 1 year of Call Center experience


• Demonstrated computer proficiency, including MS Office applications


• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills


• Excellent written and oral communication skills


• Managed care or Pharmacy Benefits Management experience is highly desired
