ALATEC is seeking a Military Analyst to work in a challenging, professional environment committed to national security and soldier safety.
The Military Analyst shall have either Air Defense or Field Artillery operational experience. General duties include a working knowledge of the Fires Center of Excellence and the Army s combat developments process. The chosen candidate will conduct military analysis and make recommendations on new TTP and training plans and strategies. Be able to assist in developing analytical products, white papers, and special reports on observations, insights, lessons (OIL) gathered from units or sources. Also, assist in coordinating the planning and execution of follow-on analysis.

Responsibilities:
- Provide quarterly updates to the Fires Center of Excellence leadership on current trends and observations to include a quarterly update published and placed on the Fires Knowledge Network Lessons Learned Community
- Candidate will also serve as one of the FIRES Center s Analyst involving Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL) work groups and TRADOC Transformation and Training Work Groups (T3WG)
- Provide consulting expertise to military or defense clients in the development and evaluation of military training and doctrine
- Specialized expertise in planning and executing some or all phases of military training exercises, including doctrinal development, scenario development, and after action review and analysis
Qualifications:
Knowledge Desired:
- Provide military expertise in the areas of doctrine, training, logistics, organization, materiel, personnel and facilities (DTLOMPF)
- Analyze the applications of tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) and their impact on observations, insights and lessons (OIL) on the military education system and operations
- Knowledge and ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word
- Recent operational experience in OEF, OIF, or the Balkans.
- Communicate effectively with customers and clearly present technical approaches and findings
Experience Required:
- Professional experience in military operations should include service at a Division, Corps, in-theater Army, Coalition or Joint Headquarters.
- Work experience includes five (5) years experience in military operations, doctrine, concepts materiel acquisition process, force development and management.
- Previous experience in combat developments process is desired
Required Education:
- Bachelor s degree is required
