Description

Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist performs routine and moderately complex work focusing on increasing clients fine motor function and proficiency in activities of daily living. He or she must be able to communicate well, motivate and teach. The OC plans systematic, progressive programs to assist clients to achieve rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities:

Performs therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to determine clients needs and functional limitations

Performs age-specific evaluations and treatments for which his or her training has provided the necessary skills, judgment and proficiences

*
Instructs and supervises individuals in various manual and creative activities to promote increased independence in activities of daily living

Education:Bachelor s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college of university. Certification approved by the Educational Section of the American Medical Association and a current license in the state of practice.

Experience:At least one year s experience as an occupational therapist within the last 3 years.
