JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY To pack Advance Food Company product in an efficient and timely manner under moderate supervision. These tasks include various types of labor intensive activities that must be performed in a safe manner within efficiency and quality standards. The Packer must comply with company ergonomic program. CONNECTION TO MISSION Customer satisfaction is provided by packers working in an efficient and timely manner. By following proper safety policies as set forth by Advance Food Company, a safe, high quality of life is offered to all employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Pack boxes with counts specified 2. Rotate throughout packing, palletizing, weighing, labeling, and making boxes SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

VERBAL/WRITTEN SKILLS Ability to recognize similarities and differences in a limited number of two and three syllable words and between a short series of numbers. Ability to accomplish simple data entry if necessary. REASONING/DECISION MAKING SKILLS Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables. Carries out direct instructions only. ORGANIZATIONAL/PLANNING SKILLS Punctual Ability to stay on task and finish on time Complete short-term projects Ability to maintain a continuous process Receives task list and self-starts job tasks PEOPLE SKILLS Possess a good attitude Willingly carries out assignments Ability to communicate clearly and concisely Ask questions when unclear of assignments Possess a team-oriented attitude Communicate problems and solutions with others JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
