Project Manager, Cooling Tower Applications

Position Profile
Our client is a global company renting and servicing commercial generators, chillers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, heaters, and oil-free air compressors. This positions will help develop opportunities, provide technical and commercial support to customers such as engineers, managers and other professionals for the purpose of renting cooling towers and related equipment in industries such as refineries, chemical plants, utility plants, steel mills, pulp and paper mills, etc.

Primary Responsibilities
This is for their Cooling Tower services group and knowledge of Cooling Towers is essential. Plan, direct, coordinate, budget, activities concerned with the installation, maintenance, and teardown of jobs. Participate in the conceptual development of the project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.

* Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the installation, maintenance, and teardown of jobs.
* Confer with supervisory personnel, customers, and co-workers to discuss and resolve issues.
* Assist in providing pricing estimates to customers for adjustments to resolve issues during the job's execution.
* Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to job sites.
* Direct and supervise workers during the job's installation, maintenance, and teardown.
* Assist in interpreting and explaining plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
* Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
* Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines and preserve margins.
* Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project.
* Study job specifications to determine appropriate methods.
* Develop and implement quality control programs.
* Manage customer expectations and service levels.
* Review and document the learning from each project. Ensure that this is shared with the project team to facilitate best practices and recommend improvements.
* Provide review, coaching, mentoring and feedback to team members

Qualifications & Characteristics:

* Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 4 years of related experience in managing or coordinating projects
* Experience working with generators, HVAC systems, air compressors, or cooling towers is a plus
* Experience in the heavy equipment rental industry is a plus
* Time management and organizational skills
* Written and verbal communication skills
* Critical thinking
* Excellent customer and interpersonal skills
* Good understanding of the technical applications of Cooling Towers
* Willingness to travel for an extended period of time
* Ability to work under pressure to meet or exceed customer deadlines and expectations
* Team player comfortable working at multiple organizational levels

Compensation package includes:

* Base pay plus commission
