Job: Quality Manager

Jobing Description

Summary: Manages and leads the quality focus and team through developing and implementing quality management systems to ensure continuous customer satisfaction by manufacturing top quality products at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develops implements and maintains quality management systems and ensures that the systems are in compliance with regulatory requirements and are used to drive continuous improvement.

Oversees analysis, inspection, design, test and/or integration of all manufactured products

to assure CEP Quality Standards are met.

Applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current

process and process changes including failure mode analysis and evaluation.

Manages and coordinates certifications and audits (i.e., ISO 9001:2008, API Q1)

Acts as a customer/supplier liaison on quality related matters.

Implements, monitors and assesses product performance, using statistical techniques, as required, and ensures the generation of required reports in a timely manner.

Provides education and training to quality personnel in respect to discovered non-conformances and potential corrective & preventive actions.

Provides support to the various departments in diagnosing and eliminating warranty problems.

Instructs Quality personnel on the methods for identification and isolation of non-conforming materials, processes, & products.

Supports quality team with process quality investigations as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the Quality Engineering Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization and federal and state applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees. Also, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising, rewarding and disciplining employees.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of high school and/or two-year certificate from college or technical school or 5 - 10 years related quality experience with calibration and testing. Preferred experience in:

ISO 9001:2008, API Q1, APE-6A, API-6D, API-598 and 97/EC/23
