Patient Access Representive
at Hillcrest Medical Center
Patient access representatives are accountable for greeting and directing patients and visitors. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Representatives must have the ability to properly collect and enter financial and demographic information into a computer, maintain patient confidentiality, provide clear and concise information to those who request it, be able to handle multiple tasks at one time, and be detail-oriented. The position tends to be fast-paced and somewhat stressful. Representatives are responsible for identifying patients, inputting financial and demographic information, and collecting monies due for co-pays. Individuals must be physically capable of transporting patients and their luggage.
