Job Description - Overview

The Hobby Lobby Distribution Center services 900+ Hobby Lobby Stores across the nation.  The campus, located in Oklahoma City, consists of the Warehousing, Manufacturing, Transportation and Corporate departments. 

The Warehouse System, both Basic and Seasonal, stretches over 10.0 million square feet and processes weekly replenishment orders for all Hobby Lobby Stores.   

The Warehouse Operation has an hourly employee base of 3000+ employees with 180+ members of management all under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Distribution.

FUNCTION   Fleet Maintenance Co-Manager 
Reports to Fleet Maintenance Manager. 
Assist the Maintenance Manager in total operation of the Truck Maintenance Facility.

General: 
  • Implement and support the policies and practices that are consistent with the philosophy of the company.  
Specifics: 
  • Primary role to assist in managing the Maintenance Facility and fulfill the needs of the Transportation Department in overseeing the maintenance of the entire fleet of tractors and trailers, as well as being a proven motivated leader with excellent communication skills and have excellent training and mentoring skills to provide the necessary training for the next generation of mechanics.

Operational: 
  • Make a difference by having a positive ongoing effect on your surroundings.
  • Maintain a professional operation, including leadership, training and mentoring
Requirements 
  • Education:   High School Diploma/G.E.D. 
  • Experience: Extensive background in all facets of Truck Maintenance and a proven leader that will be dedicated to the continued growth of Hobby Lobby’s Transportation Department and the Company’s extensive growth. 
  • Physical:   Physical activity ranging from walking and standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders and lifting as needed.
  • Extended knowledge of DOT Regulations are required  
  • Must pass a drug test. 
  • Must pass a background check. 
COMPETENCIES 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel software applications.
