Special Education Teachers - English (2 Positions) (Oklahoma City, OK) Provides research-based specialized instruction in a public HS to address the instructional goals & objectives contained w/in each student's IEP. Assesses student progress & determine the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques. Employs various teaching techniques, methods & principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals. Dvlps & implmts annual Individualized Educational Prgm (IEP) plans for students to incl: present levels of educational performance, special edu needs, instructional goals & objectives, & the special edu & related services required to meet those goals. Schedules team meetings & works cooperatively w/ child study team members & others in dvlpg instructional goals & strategies. Coord the delivery of special edu services in each student's IEP. Creates a positive learning exp w/ emphasis in individualized instruction using appropriate sources incl iPads. Serves as primary contact for the parent. Conducts special edu evaluations & reevaluations. Must have a Bach's deg in Edu, Special Edu, or related field, or foreign equiv & must have or be eligible for state teaching certification.
